The Walt Disney World theme parks currently don’t allow for park hopping, so when will guests be able to jump between parks again?
Since reopening in July, the four Walt Disney World theme parks stopped allowing guests to park hop. Even Annual Passholders who essentially pay for park hopping options can’t use the feature. In other words, you can’t start the day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and travel to EPCOT in the afternoon.
So when can guests expect to park hop once again? Disney is now selling park hoppers for the start of the year. Meaning, Walt Disney World is allowing park hopping beginning January 1, 2021. However, that’s where things get a little tricky. A Disney Park Pass reservation is still needed to visit each park. So far, we’ve only been able to book one park per day. Perhaps Disney will roll out more parks to choose from at a later date.
UPDATE (11/20/20): Disney World confirms park hopping for 2021 and details new rules!
For the rest of 2020, all tickets are just one park per day. We highly recommend checking out the Disney Park Pass availability before purchasing a ticket. Additionally, Walt Disney World isn’t selling new annual passports for now, though current passholders can still renew.
