What type of animal is Tuk Tuk from Raya and the Last Dragon? We discuss the origins of this cute critter.
Raya and the Last Dragon will finally hit theaters and Disney+ on March 5, 2021! But one of the creatures is already catching the eyes of Disney fans. Tuk Tuk, the adorable little critter that eventually grows large enough for Raya to ride him, can be seen rolling up throughout the trailer. But what kind of creature is Tuk Tuk?
As it turns out, Disney made up this one! According to the company, he’s a combination of a pill bug (rolly polly) and a pug. However, he can move incredibly fast like a sports car! Tuk Tuk is designed to help Raya get between destinations when needed.
If you’re craving a drawing lesson to sketch your own Tuk Tuk, Disney is providing classes at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World. This unique experience can be found starting February 22 at the Conservation Station’s Animation Experience. We recommend it for guests of all ages who love to draw.
