Build you own Star Wars lightsaber beginning this fall when Savi’s Workshop reopens in Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World.

For anyone who has ever wished to become a Jedi Knight, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is the place to go. Savi’s Workshop is an “underground” experience where guests can join the mystic order. However, Savi’s Workshop also comes with a $200 price tag to build (and keep) a custom lightsaber.

Savi’s Workshop closed along with the rest of Walt Disney World in March 2020. When it reopened, guests could only purchase basic, non-custom sabers here. However, Savi’s will reopen in full at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on September 20th.

We love this experience and fully review it here. Nonetheless, there are some things to keep in mind before going. First, you’ll likely need a reservation before booking, as spots are limited. Click here to book starting September 16th!

Additionally, things might be a little different. To maintain social distancing, only a few builders and their guest may enter at once. While this surely gives a more personalized experience, one of the coolest parts won’t happen. It’s when everyone raises their lightsabers and become Jedis together. That isn’t to say the experience won’t be magical, because the amazing music and same feelings are bound to be present. Either way, we’re happy that this unique and awesome piece of Galaxy’s Edge is returning!
