Guests of the Disneyland Resort will have access to MagicBands sometime in 2022. Here’s what this means for the resort!
After years of waiting, Disneyland Resort guests will finally be able to use the amazing MagicBand technology at the parks. These wearable wristbands have allowed Walt Disney World guests to easily access theme park tickets, make payments, and even open their hotel rooms. All they have to do is tap their wristband on a receiver and the rest works like magic. However, Disneyland has been missing this fun tech until now.
Launching sometime in 2022, new the MagicBand+ will debut at the Disneyland Resort. These upgraded versions of the band also light up and interact with shows around the park. It’ll be both a fun and creative way that guests can immerse themselves inside the park.

It seems that Walt Disney World bands will work at Disneyland. However, since this is upgraded tech, it’s difficult to know if the only the new version of the MagicBand+ will work at both resort.
