Fantasmic will reopen at the Disneyland Resort—find out when this iconic stage show is expected to return.
Though Disneyland has reopened its rides, brought back most of its dining, and even resumed a daily parade, something still feels amiss. Live entertainment—one of Disney’s largest crowd drawers—has only come back in part. Though guests can hear the Dapper Dans singing on Main Street, U.S.A. and watch fireworks sparkle above Sleeping Beauty Castle, they still want more.
So, many wonder where Fantasmic! is in Disneyland’s slate of reopening attractions. As announced at the Destination D23 expo in Walt Disney World, Fantasmic! will return in 2022! Though we do not have an official release date, it’s comforting to know that Disney plans to bring back this popular show. Next year, Fantasmic! will celebrate its 30th anniversary, so we expect the show to resume sometime in the spring or early summer.
