Select shopping experiences in Downtown Disney will require Disneyland Resort guests to have shopping reservations before visiting.

Downtown Disney has been very busy on the weekends as many guests are eager to grab the latest merchandise while the theme parks are closed. Since in the past many of the limited edition items have led to long lines, Disneyland looks to fix that.

Guests wishing to grab some in-store merchandise will need a reservation. Not only will this help with inventory, but also with guest demand as shoppers fixate on must-have items. What are these must-have items? Well, we don’t know! However, we expect that some more Disneyland 65th Anniversary items will be announced soon. On the site, the collection is known as “Enchanting Extras.”

Dates beginning August 31st and running through September 2nd are already booked up on Disneyland.com. We don’t know if Disneyland will release more dates in the future. Visitors with a reservation may also bring one guest. If a reservation isn’t cancelled the day before, a $10 fee may be assessed.

Update (8/25/20): Though Disneyland stated that reservation times have concluded, we expect that some guests may cancel their reservations. Typically when this happens those time slots are available for other guests. Additionally, some reservations became available for more times in August.

There’s still no word when the Disneyland theme parks will reopen. However, restaurants, snack carts, and shopping continue to be busy at the Resort. The hotels have pushed their reopening dates back into September.
