The Walt Disney World Resort will present its reopening plan to the Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force on Wednesday, May 27th.
The news came last week, but sources were unconfirmed until now. Orlando Mayor Jerry Demings also stated that he expects Disney World to present for the Task Force.
Once Disney’s plans are announced, they need Demings approval before heading to Florida’s Governor, Ron DeSantis. As we’ve seen recently, DeSantis seems eager to reopen Florida’s tourism economy, so we don’t expect too much pushback. Demings has already confirmed that he would approve plans as long as they follow the recommended safety guidelines.
