The new A Touch of Disney food and character event at Disney California Adventure will bring back classic Disneyland snacks!

It’s hard to believe that the Disneyland parks have been closed for almost a year! Fans of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure miss the rides, characters, and favorite food items only found there. However, A Touch of Disney—a new event for Disney California Adventure—brings back many of these things.

While the rides must remain closed (for now) due to California rules, Disney can still host a food event. There will be very limited tickets for dates running from March 18 – April 5, 2021. Tickets are $75 and come with parking and a $25 food credit for snacking on your date of visit. To get guests mouth’s watering, A Touch of Disney will offer favorite snacks found at both theme parks.

We’re excited to have the monte cristo, a deep-fried sandwich usually only found in New Orleans Square at Disneyland. However, this time, guests will be able to order it at Smokejumpers Grill in Disney California Adventure. We think it’ll go great with the brisket mac and cheese and a s’mores shake for dessert! (All of these are pictured above, along with a Blue Angeleno cocktail).

Other returning favorites will be the cones from Cars Land. These include Chili Cone Queso and Bacon Mac & Cheese Cone served in an edible bread cone! Specialty churros including Fluffernutter Churro, Horchata Churro, and Churro Milk & Cookies served at various locations. Pineapple DOLE Whip and Lemon Soft Serve are available at Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats and many other faves will be back around Pixar Pier.

Marketplace booths with food will also appear for guests to order a wider variety of snacks. These will include previous and new food items from the Food & Wine Festival at Disney California Adventure (we link to the full guide below). To help with social distancing, guests will be able to mobile order and snack around at various seating locations. Keep in mind, a strict facial covering rule requires masks for everyone aged 2 and older.

A Touch of Disney tickets go on sale March 4, 2021 with more dates added in the future. Additionally, two table service restaurants, including Carthay Circle Lounge and Lamplighter Lounge, must have a ticket to access. We recommend getting a reservation if you plan on dining at one of those spots.
