Though Universal’s Epic Universe theme park has been delayed we have details for when it may finally open.

Epic Universe opens in 2025 as construction started again!
Last year, Universal theme parks made an announcement that it would delay construction on its third theme park. Epic Universe originally set a date for 2023. However, a slow year for tourism pushed this date back.
So far, we don’t have an official opening date for Epic Universe. Still, Universal’s parent company wishes to move forward with the project when travel picks up again in Florida. Meaning, once we see crowded days again, then demand will call for a third park.
With that said, we anticipate that Epic Universe will open in 2025. As of now, the site prep occurred closer to Universal’s newer hotel resort, Endless Summer. Since tourism is expected to boom in 2022 and 2023, we anticipate that Universal will begin construction again next year. Naturally, it will take a few years for the build to complete.
As of now, rumored lands for the park include Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon, Universal’s Monsters, and a Wizarding World of Harry Potter area. However, it’s important to note that none of these have been confirmed for that park.
