The Walt Disney World Resort plans to reopen its theme parks with reservations beginning in July. The first phase will come with the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 11. Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT are set to reopen later on July 15.
However, guests need a reservation to enter the theme parks. Both Walt Disney World Resort guests and Annual Passholders will soon have access to an online reservation system. For accommodate all guests, Disney has paused its ticketing and hotel reservations until further notice.
Walt Disney World plans to reopen with extreme caution. The theme parks will maintain social distancing measures and mandate that guests wear face masks and undergo temperature screenings before entering. Additionally, Disney implemented contactless payments, hand sanitizing stations, and limited crowd levels.

The Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force that oversees these projects already approved Disney’s reopening. Now Mayor Demings and Governor DeSantis must give their stamps of approval to finalize.
Disney Springs reopened last week to excited guests. For the most part, guests abided by the rules as shop and restaurants reopen in phases. Like the theme parks, Disney Springs requires face masks, social distancing, and temperature screenings. Masks, however, are not required during eating.
