Must-know park hopping tips in 2021 for the four Walt Disney World theme parks! Some of the previous rules have changed!

Park hopping is back at Walt Disney World! As of January 1st, guests can enjoy visiting multiple theme parks in one day. Due to physical distancing measures, park hopping did not return last year after the parks reopened. However, there are some new rules that change the park hopping experience.

2021 Park Hopping Rules
Guests must have a valid park hopping ticket or annual pass to switch parks. Furthermore, guests must also select a Disney Parks Pass reservation for their first theme park, and you must start your day there. You cannot park hop until 2pm. These rules may change sometime in 2021.

Can I Hop to More Than Two Parks?
Yes! You can bounce between multiple parks throughout the day. If a park hits capacity, you may not be able to travel to it. With that said, we don’t see EPCOT hitting capacity for quite some time as it has the most space for guests. Disney is still keeping its capacity to 35%.

Transportation May Be Limited
Busses, fairies, and the Disney Skyliner are available throughout the day between the parks and hotels. However, the EPCOT line monorail hasn’t debuted with the launch. While we expect to see it up soon, you should check Disney World’s website for current availability before you go.

Check the Hours Before You Go
Visit www.disneyworld.com/parkhours to see hopping is available depending on the park. You can also call Disney’s Park Hopping hotline at 407-650-5000 for the fastest availability. We highly recommend planning which parks you’d like to visit. If you’re worried about capacity, leave your first park well ahead of 2pm. Epcot and the Magic Kingdom are typically open later than the other parks.

Important Note for Disney’s Hollywood Studios
If you plan to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, you must have a Disney Parks Pass for Hollywood Studios that day. Park hopping over to Hollywood Studios will exclude you from getting in the virtual queue for the ride.
