The Universal Orlando Resort plans to reopen its theme parks on June 1. The first few days appear to be a testing period for employees.

While June 1st is the official start date, only select guest may enter during the first few days. Limited theme park capacity and social distancing markers are expected throughout the Resort.

During the first couple of days, employees will aid with testing social distancing within the parks. Then, from June 3-4, select guests (possibly those with an annual pass) get invites. By June 5, the general public will have access though the parks.

Universal Orlando will follow CDC guidelines and recommend that everyone wear masks, maintain social distancing, and undergo temperature checks before heading into the parks. To reopen, the theme park resort needs approval from local and state government first.

Universal’s CityWalk reopened last week with the same safety measures. However, it now appears that Universal wants its theme parks open, too, for its 30th anniversary on June 7, 2020.
