Universal Orlando will no longer be spreading out rows between parties on select rides at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.
Universal Orlando recently confirmed that select rides will no longer seat every other row. Up until now, all ride-through attractions spread parties out by leaving at least one row between them. However, now it appears that Universal has stopped that rule for two of its roller coasters.
The Incredible Hulk coaster at Islands of Adventure and the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Florida now seat all rows. However, guests will only be seated next to others in their party. For example, you will have a stranger seated behind and/or in front of you, but not in your same row.
In a tweet on Sept 11, Universal Orlando confirmed that they “are making a modification to our loading procedures for The Incredible Hulk Coaster and Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. To accommodate Guest demand, we will load every row of the vehicle while still ensuring there is separation between Guests onboard.”

Universal stated that they’ve contacted local health experts before implementing the changes. However, no official announcement was made until after it began. Furthermore, rides like Jurassic Park River Adventure allow guests to remove their masks while riding. There is no signage in front of the ride explaining this. Hopefully, Universal can do a better job setting expectations of health measures with guests before their visit.
