The Walt Disney World Resort hotels have updated reopening dates for three of their properties resuming operations in 2021.

Disney World updated its website to reflect the reopening of three new resort hotels. Guests may now make reservations for these hotels with the following opening dates:

  • All-Star Movies Resort – opens March 22, 2021
  • Beach Club Resort – opens May 30, 2021
  • Wilderness Lodge – opens June 6, 2021

Disney’s All-Star Movies previously announced a February 9, 2021 reopening. However, Disney has opted to push that date back to March. Though we don’t have an official reason, it’s very likely that demand isn’t high enough for February travel. However, Disney has historically seen spikes in guest attendance in late February.

Furthermore, Disney’s Polynesian Resort has a planned reopening for Summer 2021. The lobby and many of the rooms are under refurbishment with Moana-inspired theming. However, guests can stay at the villas located at the Polynesian as well as Beach Club and Wilderness Lodge.

Disney continues its phased reopening as travel is down due into the earlier part of the year. It’s very likely that Disney hopes that effective measures to stop the spread of the pandemic, including a vaccine, will shortly have travel returning by summer 2021. 1. Unfortunately, Disney hasn’t announced why Port Orleans remains closed. We believe that Coronado Springs and Caribbean Beach may have opened first because both resorts had new additions (the Gran Destino Tower and the Disney Skyliner). However, Port Orleans is the most popular so its possible that we’ll see an announcement soon!
