Today, moviegoers around the world will see how the Skywalker Saga finally concludes. As theaters sell out globally, theme park fans are invited to experience Star Wars in a whole new way. The motion simulation attraction, Star Tours, has added a fresh new scene to celebrate the film’s release.

The StarSpeeder 1000 leaps into hyperspace and onto the ocean moon, Kef Bir. As seen in the film, Star Wars: Rise of the Skywalker, powerful ocean waves sweep over eroded Empirical shipwreck-age.

Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios received this fresh scene this morning. Though the ride typically mixes up its scenes, it will show the new Kef Bir sequence during every ride.

Adding new scenes to Star Tour has been a tradition since The Force Awakens debuted in 2015. As part of Season of the Force, Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme parks also received a Crait scene in 2017 with the release of The Last Jedi.

A new Star Tours scene appears to solidify the attractions stay for the time being. However, we’re uncertain if Disney will add more to this attraction. Having Star Wars storytelling outside of Galaxy’s Edge causes a bit of an issue. While Disney claims that attractions like Star Tours exist beyond the Galaxy’s Edge timeline, bringing them all together would be a dream. Only time will tell how it’ll all change.
