Rumor has it that Beetlejuice will star in an upcoming Halloween Horror Nights house at Universal Studios Florida in 2020!

The imaginative and creepy 80s film could take over Halloween Horror Nights this fall. An inside source told us that Beetlejuice is one of several exciting houses and scare zones coming to Universal Orlando. The annual Halloween event begins September 10th at the Universal Studios Florida park.

We love the thematic elements found in Beetlejuice and think that it’ll be a huge hit. Last year, Ghostbusters were featured as a creepy yet not-to-scary headliner for the event. After the monstrous success of the Stranger Things houses in previous years, its no wonder that Universal is using other 80s-themed spooky blockbusters.

The Tim Burton-directed cult classic from the late 80’s starred Michael Keaton in the titular role. His monstrous transformation even won the Academy Award for Best Makeup. Up until 2015, Beetlejuice had a home in Universal Studios Florida at Beetlejuice’s Rockin’ Graveyard Revue. However, the attraction closed to make room for Fast & Furious: Supercharged.

Halloween Horror Nights is set to run in Orlando from September 10– November 1, 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a strong chance that the event could be cancelled. Universal Orlando reopened its theme parks in June 2020 with social distancing measures. It’s still unknown whether or not Halloween Horror Nights with scare actors is viable (or even worth doing) with social distancing.
