A review of the UPDATED Sweet Lumpia found at the Tropical Hideaway in Disneyland. Last month, the Tropical Hideaway unexpectedly revamped its menu! Suddenly, a handful of tasty new treats appeared at the snacking spot.
We almost didn’t notice that the Sweet Lumpia also changed. Before, the crispy treats were filled with pineapple cream cheese. However, they now have banana, jackfruit, and are covered in caramel drizzle. Each order comes with two lumpia.
Truthfully, we didn’t think that this snack could get any better. But it has! The banana tastes like dessert egg rolls often served in Thai restaurants. It also reminds us of the long-lost fried banana corn dogs once served in Disney California Adventure.
Unfortunately, the Tropical Hideaway doesn’t provide mobile ordering and the lines can become long for Dole Whip. However, if you’re not ordering Dole Whip, move to the right of the line and order the Sweet Lumpia near the cash registers. There’s rarely a line – for now.
