A review of the School Bread found at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT (Walt Disney World food).

The Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe is a small snacking spot just outside the queue for the Frozen Ever After dark ride. Since many guests rush to Frozen just before the ride opens, grabbing a quick morning snack is a great idea. We love the sweets at Kringla, but how does its famed School Bread stack up?

Disney describes the School Bread as a “sweet roll filled with custard and dipped in coconut.” So, if you’re a fan of custard, but don’t like overly sweet snacks like donuts, this treat is for you! The bread is perfectly flakey and often served chilled. The coconut flakes aren’t overly powering either.

In Norway, School Bread is known as “Skolebrød” but means the same. It’s a snack often packed in kids’ lunches as they head off to school. One of the things we love about EPCOT is that it brings traditions from around the world to the United States. Best of all, we get to snack our way around the world and see what we love!
