The Universal Orlando Resort released another sneak peek of the Velocicoaster, including its overall design and some unique features.
A new species of roller coaster is coming to Universal Orlando! The Jurassic World Velocicoaster has lean and mean theming to this unique ride system. Instead of promising terrifying heights, the coaster appears to hug close to the ground. It also runs through an enclosure like a pack of velociraptors! However, the Velocicoaster does have a steep drop at some point.
Furthermore, we noticed details like flashing headlamps, claw marks, and the InGen symbol. For those unfamiliar with InGen, it’s the fictional company from the Jurassic series that’s responsible for recreating the dinosaurs. Ride testing for the vehicles already started at the theme park.

For years, guests have wondered whether Jurassic Park Island would become Jurassic World. However, it now appears that Universal’s Islands of Adventure will keep the “Jurassic Park” name. Instead, guests can expect the color and theming of the land to change a bit to match the initial InGen design.
