Disneyland has new times that guests can join the virtual boarding group for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
If you want to experience the thrills of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Disneyland has tweaked its previous rules for joining the boarding groups. Guests can now join at 7am and at 12pm. For the 7am time slot, guests do not need to be inside the park. As it seems, they can do some from their home or hotel. You will need a valid theme park ticket and Disneyland park reservation to join.
For the 12pm time slot, guests can also book this at Disney California Adventure or inside Disneyland. They will, however, need a park hopper if they are planning to go to a second park. Since park hopping isn’t allowed until 1pm, we expect that the second batch of time slots will be for later in the day.
For those not familiar with the process, the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction does not use a standard line. Instead, guests must join a virtual queue using the Disneyland app and wait for their boarding group number to be called. However, these spots go fast! So, we highly recommend making sure that all of your tickets are previously linked before 7am.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is one of many attractions reopening with the parks. The feature ride has had some issues since its first launched in January of last year. Repeated downtimes caused long waits which is why Disney used the boarding group system.
