A review of Lone Palm Airport, Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville outdoor bar, in CityWalk at the Universal Orlando Resort.
If you’re looking for a great place to dine outdoors at Universal Orlando, we highly recommend the Lone Palm Airport. This casual bar-style restaurant is an extension of Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritavilla located just across the walkway. Here you can find delicious American favorite snacks and, of course, tasty margaritas.
The atmosphere is like a sandy beach where an airplane docked on it. We liked that the tables were well spread apart. There was also plenty of table space for larger parties, we estimate up to eight. However, we do notice that this spot becomes very busy at night. You may have to wait a bit for a table to open up on the weekends. However, we’ve also been able to walk right up and order during the week.
You can’t go wrong with nachos! One of our favorite bites from Margaritaville are the Volcano Nachos. These are crispy tortilla chips layered with chili, and cheese, pico de gallo, and jalapeños. They also come with dollops of guacamole and sour cream. They are part of the appetizer menu but its certainly big enough for one person as a meal—or share!
Our second-most recommended snack are the Coconut Shrimp. These are crispy fried shrimp with flakes of coconut and served with orange marmalade and pineapple avocado salsa. There are only a handful of pieces but it’s great for a shared app to start.

There are several more items to choose on the menu, many that come from Margaritaville. These include fish tacos, burgers, pasta, sandwiches, and more. There’s also a full bar at Lone Palm Airport for those wishing to order their personal favorite.
Of course, we have to recommend the margaritas for those 21 and older. The menu is pretty extensive with different choices of tequila and flavor—including watermelon, mango, and blackberry. We’re still fans of the Who’s To Blame Margarita which is the restaurant’s signature gold tequila, triple sec, and the house margarita blend. It’s a perfect blend of margarita flavor without the heavy sweetness.
The Lone Palm is located at the end of CityWalk on the way to Islands of Adventure, right near Margaritaville. Just look for the plane! To get updates on the best Universal Orlando tips and discounts, sign up for our free e-mail newsletter.
