The new Jurassic World Velocicoaster has a June opening date at the Universal Orlando Resort’s Islands of Adventure theme park!
Get ready to scream! The Jurassic World Velocicoaster is coming to Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park! This new, multi-launch coaster takes guests around the backside of Jurassic Park Island for extreme thrills.
Universal Orlando announced today that the Velocicoaster will open on June 10th at Islands of Adventure. So far, there is no word about an annual passholder preview or what Universal will do about capacity, should it reach it.
Additionally, we expect this attraction to pull in huge crowds. However, Universal has limited capacity at its parks. So anyone planning a visit for opening day should note that the park could reach capacity early on. For this reason, we recommend getting to the park early!

The Jurassic World Velocicoaster is the newest thrilling attraction to the Universal Orlando Resort. Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure opened in June 2019. However, Hagrid’s experienced several issues and delays on its opening day. With any luck, we won’t see the same with the Velocicoaster.
