The Jurassic Park River Adventure has closed for seasonal refurbishment in 2021 at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
Guests wishing to ride the Jurassic Park River Adventure in January 2021 may be out of luck. The iconic dino-themed water ride is out of commission for much of the month. This is due to a scheduled seasonal refurbishment for the ride. But when will Jurassic Park reopen?
Though Universal hasn’t posted about the closure on its website, it appears that the seasonal refurbishment will conclude before the end of the month. Guests can expect to ride the plunging Jurassic adventure beginning January 30, 2021. However, that date is subject to change.

The Jurassic Park River Adventure and other Universal waters attractions often undergo seasonal refurbishment. These extended closures help keep the rides well maintained and typically go offline in slower seasons. In this case, we see the Jurassic Park River Adventure closed for around a month, although these are sometimes much longer.
The Revenge of the Mummy also closed at Universal Studios Florida for refurbishment. However, the ride is expected to reopen much sooner on January 16, 2021.
