How much will Disneyland theme park ticket prices be when it reopens on April 30th, 2021 – we explore what we know!
Disneyland is set to reopen on April 30th but ticket prices have not yet been announced. If you’re planning a visit, how much should you expect to pay?
If we had to guess, Disneyland won’t raise prices when it reopen. However, that doesn’t mean it won’t be expensive. Peak ticket prices (tier 5) were $154 when the parks closed in March of last year. However, guests could pay value pricing (tier 1) around $100 on less-busy days. Since ticket prices are based on demand, we expect that Disneyland tickets will be closer to the $150 mark when the parks reopen.
Now, a few things could make this price point lower. First, Californians are the only guests allowed to visit Disneyland for the foreseeable future. Most locals aren’t used to paying full price, as they either get a discounted multi-day ticket or annual passport. We expect to see Southern California tickets become available for guests, offering around three days of visits for the price of two. Of course, this is just speculation.
The second thing to consider is that not all experiences will be available. Fireworks, parades, and other shows are off limits until further notice. So, Disneyland will need to give guests incentives to visit, even if hundreds of thousands of Californians want to return, they may wait until a better deal is offered.

Finally, Disneyland can open reopen at 15% capacity. If this is true, less than half of the typical guests will be allowed inside the parks. In addition, if Disney California Adventure and Disneyland have the same ticket prices, it’ll be a tough sell to pack DCA for $150+ a ticket.
So far there’s no word about park hopping or annual passes, which could help pack both parks. Yet, only time will tell what Disneyland offers to get locals to visit during a pandemic.
