Disney’s Electric Water Pageant times returns to the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake at the Walt Disney World Resort December 2020.

Some magic is headed back to the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake at Walt Disney World. Just ahead of the Christmas holiday, the Electric Water Pageant (EWP) will start floating by resort hotels. Each night, guests can expect to see the classic display of lights from many of the rooms and areas of nearby resorts.

EWP restarts of December 20, 2020 and is expected to continue through 2021. However, the water-based parade may skip nights. The first sign of it is the legendary tune that accompanies the pageant. If you don’t have a view from your room, head to a spot near the waterways of your hotel.

Here are the Electric Water Pageant Times for each Disney World Resort hotel:

  • Polynesian Village Resort – 8:45 PM
  • Grand Floridian Resort & Spa  – 9:00 PM
  • Wilderness Lodge – 9:30 PM
  • Fort Wilderness Resort – 9:45 PM
  • Contemporary Resort – 10:00 PM

Keep in mind that these float times are just estimates!

The pageant first debuted on October 25, 1971. Floats feature a sea serpent, whale, octopus, seahorses, and more! As one of the last remaining opening attractions at Walt Disney World, the simple floats have become a fan favorite over the decades. Because of this, Disney opted to keep the pageant around years after its original closure. However, some parts have been changed. The current version has been running since 1996.
