The Walt Disney World Resort now has a required mask policy, but do you have to wear a mask when riding the roller coasters?
The current Disney World face covering policy states that guests must wear masks at all times. The only exceptions are while eating, drinking, or while visiting one of the Relaxation Stations around the parks.
With that said, guests also have to wear face coverings on the roller coasters—even the high-speed ones! Before opening the parks, Disney reportedly tested all sorts of face coverings to see how they would hold up. Since masks with ties or ear loopholes seemed to work the best, those are now the standard.
Additionally, guests must have snuggly fit masks during their visit. Neck gators have been banned for this reason as they could easily fall down on the rides. If a guest is on a coaster without a face mask, Disney will hold back their ride photo.

Relaxation Stations are designated spots that allow guests to remove their masks while social distancing from others. Furthermore, Disney World mask policy now states that guests must be stationary while enjoying their food or beverage. Meaning, you cannot walk around drinking a bottle of water with your face covering off.
