The Disneyland Resort added Autopia and Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! to its FastPass and MaxPass services.
Today, two new FastPass attractions have been added to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Autopia and Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! are the newcomers to the service. After this update, Disneyland has eleven options and Disney California Adventure has nine.
While both rides appeal to children, they play an important role in the value of FastPass. Parents often feel turned off by long lines at amusement parks. While Autopia and Monsters, Inc. often don’t see long lines, FastPass cuts down waits during very busy dates.
FastPass will continue to be a free service, but guests can pay for MaxPass to book using the Disneyland app. MaxPass will also be available for Autopia and Monsters, Inc.
The news comes on the heels of Disneyland raising ticket prices and the cost of MaxPass. Before today, MaxPass cost $15 per day, now it’s $20. We still see the value in MaxPass, even at $20, especially if you’re visiting both parks in one day.
In addition to Monsters, Inc. and Autopia, Disneyland plans to add Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run to the FastPass lineup.
