Disney World Bus Schedule Changes Have Begun

If you’re staying at a Disney World Skyler gondola hotel this year, you’ll need to know about these bus schedule changes.

Bus Operation Disney Skyliner

Now that the holidays are over and the bulk of the crowds have gone, Disney is making major changes to its bussing system. Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels with direct Skyliner service will see fewer busses arriving for Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Here are the affected hotels:

  • Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Disney’s Pop Century Resort
  • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
  • Disney’s Riviera Resort

Instead of running multiple times an hour, busses will arrive just once an hour throughout the day. Disney directs guests to the Skyliner as a means of transport to these theme parks. Of course guests who prefer the bus will want to use the Walt Disney World app for bus times.

Since the arrival of the Skyler gondolas, many more visitors prefer riding the skyways rather than hopping on a bus. For us, we love the gondolas because they are faster, easier, and much calmer than the current bus system. The gondolas also drop you off right in front of the theme park gates.

Also keep in mind that the Disney World bus schedule likely won’t change from these resorts to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, the water parks, and Disney Springs. Busses may also run more frequently once spring break crowds arrive in late March and most of April.
