Due to restrictions enforced by the state of Florida, several popular Walt Disney World bars won’t reopen with the parks.

Update (7/3/20) – Oga’s Cantina has been re-added to the list. If Disney cancelled a dining reservation due to COVID, you will have access to booking dining at WaltDisneyWorld.com (not the app).

Update (7/5/20) – Florida’s bar seems to be over and now has a 50% capacity limit. So, many locations have reopened including Jock Lindsey’s.

Walt Disney World reopens its theme parks in phases beginning July 11th. Though most of the attractions and rides are reopening at all four parks, new regulations will keep most Florida bar spots closed. Due to increasing numbers of COVID-19, the state announced on June 26, “effective immediately, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation is suspending on premises consumption of alcohol at bars statewide.”

Disney quickly followed suit, closing Disney Springs bars locations including the Indiana Jones-themed hangout, Jock Lindsey’s. Shortly after, Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and other theme park lounges were removed from Walt Disney World’s reopening website page.

COVID-19 is certainly restricting many Disney experiences for park guests. Hopefully, the numbers will decrease and Florida and reopen its bars. However, guests can enjoy cocktails at other dining locations with food and could possibly take them to go. For example, the Milk Stand in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge serves Blue Milk with rum to-go as well as snacks.
