The character dining experience at Chef Mickey’s will return in December at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Walt Disney World.

Mickey Mouse and several of his friends are returning to Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary Resort this year! Beginning December 16, 2020, guests can dine on delicious breakfast options while greeting their favorite characters once again.

In addition to the return of Mickey and his pals, new dining plates will be available! Guests can try the sprinkle-covered Mickey’s “Celebration” Pancake and “Loaded” Potato-Cheese Casserole topped with smoked bacon crumbles and chives. There’s also the delicious-looking Goofy’s Banana Bread French Toast with “zesty orange-scented French toast batter, topped with Espresso-mascarpone cream, toasted bananas and chocolate crumbles.”

Guests can try all three in this “all-you-care-to-eat family style feast.” For health reasons, plates of food are brought to tables instead of a traditional buffet style. Also keep in mind that Disney practices social distancing by spreading guests apart in the dining areas. That also means characters will likely not come up to your table. Instead, we expect them to be near guests in some way for photos, yet at a safe enough distance for all.

When Chef Mickey’s opened in the summer, many guests missed its unique character experience. The typically crowded restaurant is located just outside the Magic Kingdom, making it a hotspot for guests. However, much lower crowds are expected this year as Disney limits capacity at its hotels and theme parks.

Booking for Chef Mickey’s character breakfast begins on October 17, 2020. Guests may book 60 days in advance via the My Disney Experience app or on WaltDisneyWorld.com. Or you can click here to book!
