Can you park hop back and forth between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure once you’ve visited the other park?
When the Disneyland Resort theme parks reopened on April 30, the park hopping rules changed. Unlike before the closures, guests could no longer hop back and forth between the parks whenever they choose. Instead, a Disneyland park hopper ticket allows for guests to hop only after 1pm.
But once you park hop can you return to your original park? The answer is yes. If your starting park is Disneyland Park, for example, and you hop to Disney California Adventure after 1pm, you may go back to the Disneyland any time after. It also works the other way around for Disney California Adventure. Simply put, after 1pm you may go back and forth as many times as you please.
However, if one of the theme parks hits capacity, then Disneyland could stop guests from bouncing between the two. With that said, this seemingly has not yet happened. We also don’t see this being an issue until extremely crowded days return. These are typically in the days around Christmas and New Year’s Day.

It’s also entirely possible that the theme park reservation system will keep crowds to a minimum for the foreseeable future. So this may not be an issue again. For now, Disney uses this reservation system to limit the number of guests in the park at a time. Most days, Disneyland runs out of reservations and the lines are kept to a minimum.
