Find out what festive magic Disneyland will bring for holiday 2021 – including attractions, dining, and a special event!

After being closed for over a year, Disneyland seems eager to get back to its holiday traditions. This year, guests can expect to see returning favorites and an all-new holiday party. The Disneyland Resort festivities officially start on November 12, 2021 and end on January 9, 2022. Here’s what’s happening at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure for the holidays this year:

Disneyland Park Holiday 2021

A Christmas Fantasy Parade – The annual holiday parade resumes its route! It’ll be the first daytime parade at Disneyland since the parks reopened. Expect to see plenty of characters, festive floats, and even Santa Claus! Check showtimes on the Disneyland app on the day of your visit.

“Believe… In Holiday Magic” Fireworks – During select nights, see a 15-minute fireworks celebration with plenty of fireworks and holiday cheer. Sleeping Beauty Castle will also be decorate to light up at night with over 80,000 lights! It’s possible that the fireworks will only run Friday through Monday. Disneyland has yet to announce what nighttime show will run on the off nights.

Holiday Attractions – Guests will be greeted by plenty of decor on Main Street, U.S.A. once they enter the park. Disney characters will also be in their holiday outfits on Main Street. Haunted Mansion Holiday and “it’s a small world” Holiday also return this year. These are special attractions with new set pieces, music, and more! Both attractions should close sometime after January 9th to change back to the original versions. Jingle Cruise—the holiday version of the Jungle Cruise—is not expected to return in 2021.

Holiday Snacks – Keep your eyes peeled for some seasonal snacks like specialty churros, entrees, and more!

Disney Merriest Nites – Disneyland launched its new holiday party, Disney Merriest Nites. Taking place over just a handful of nights in November and December, Merriest Nites is a limited event with many of the above attractions. The appeal of this extra-ticketed event is lower crowds to watch the parade and experience the rides. However, this year’s event sold out in mid-October.
