What to do when the Universal Orlando Resort theme parks reach full capacity and are no longer taking guests.
With spring break here and summer on the way, the Universal Orlando Resort is seeing much larger crowds than usually. Now it’s common to see the parks closing when guests have maxed out the available spots. So how can guests avoid getting left in the dust?
The first tip is to get there before the parks hit capacity. We recommend getting to the parks early on and preplanning your day. Try to get to the parks at open as they typically pack in the early afternoon. So, you could get stuck at one park for a few hours before guests are allowed to parkhop again.
If you’re worried about park capacity, check Universal Orlando’s Twitter account for updates. They will post when the parks have hit capacity and when they have reopened for guests.

Again, we highly recommend preplanning your day with lists of attractions. If riding Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure tops your list, then start the day at Island of Adventure. You’ll also want to check the theme park hours before you go just in case they close earlier than you might expect.
