The Disneyland Resort hotels have cancelled all reservations for 2020 and won’t book rooms for the rest of the year.
Week after week, the Disneyland Resort hotels have been cancelling upcoming guest reservations. However, it now appears that all 2020 reservations have been axed. Guests with future bookings have been notified via e-mail that their reservation is no more.
So far, only Disney’s Grand Californian and Disney’s Paradise Pier hotels booked guest rooms. The process began earlier in the summer, but theme park closures have since delayed the hotels’ reopening. Disneyland hasn’t announced when it might start booking again.
Furthermore, thousands of Disneyland Cast Members have been laid off in the wake of park closures. Since California requires very strict rules to reopen large theme parks, we may not see hotels resume booking until mid-2021.

The Disneyland Hotel is currently scheduled for renovation. A fourth tower will host guests belonging to the Disney Vacation Club. We don’t have a final date for the fourth tower opening. However, we speculate that the new tower won’t complete for a few more years.
