Disneyland is donating unserved food during its closure this month. These efforts come after worries of the coronavirus COVID-19 spreading during social gatherings.
The theme park resort donates to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County regularly. 20,000 meals were donated by Disneyland in 2019 alone.
The Second Harvest Food Bank is committed to ending hungry across Orange County. Disneyland ensures that all food is properly sealed so that ” dairy, fruit, vegetables, packaged goods and banquet meals” are properly packed for eating.
We’re thrilled that Disney’s generosity continues after its closure. With so many left hungry in the country, it’s important that no food goes to waste.
The Disneyland Resort announced its closure for the month of the month beginning March 14. Walt Disney World and Universal Studios theme parks followed shortly after.
