In the social media age, sharing photos is a vital part of life as we know it. Luckily, Universal Orlando has some amazing photo ops for your next trip. Scattered around the park are several locations where you can snap photos on rides, with characters, and in front of scenic backdrops. In this post, we list the most essential Universal Photos tips:

1. Get Downloading

The best part of the Universal Photo Pass are the digital downloads. Guests are free to share, e-mail, and post these photos widely online. Of course, you can’t sell your photos, but otherwise they pretty much belong to you. Using Universal Photos is easy because professional photographers take your picture (no more awkward selfies). Also, your included photo lanyard is scanned to register the photos to you. Photos are accessible later online at this link.

2. No More Watermarks

If you’re thinking about skipping out on Universal Photos and just sneaking pictures with your phone, guess again. Universal is notorious for displaying watermarks on its ride photos. Of course, this gives guests another reason to buy their photo pass, which doesn’t have the watermark.

Magic Tip: You only need one photo pass to access all of the photos for your party. Prices start at $69.99 (plus tax) for one day and $89.99 (plus tax) for 3 days.

3. Know Where to Go

Universal updates its photo areas at times, especially for newer attractions. The theme park resort keeps a list of all photo locations at Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay at this link.

4. Expect Long Lines

Some of the better photo opportunities can have 30-minute wait times. These include the meeting the Transformers and Jurassic Park dinosaurs. If these are on the top of your list, head to these characters early in the morning.

5. Get Featured!

If you’re a social media star and want to be noticed by Universal, try their hashtag. #UniversalMoments is the official hashtag of Universal Photos and you could have the theme park repost your picture. Just be sure to follow and tag them to increase your odds.

6. Buy Ahead of Your Visit

Universal has deals for its photo packages that are exclusively online. For example, the 1-day photo pass is only available on Universal’s website. You can also save $10 when you purchase Photo Pass early online.

7. Get More with American Express

Use your American Express card to purchase a 3-Day Photo Package and get an additional 5″ X 7″ or 8″ 10″ print! This offer ends September 30, 2020. Restrictions may apply.
