Disneyland Genie+ tips that every future park-goer needs to know before they purchase the new line-skipping product.
Disney Genie+ arrives at the Disneyland Resort this week! Beginning Wednesday, December 8, 2021, guests can use this new product to skip the lines for dozens of attractions with the new Lightning Lane. Here are 6 important things to know before you buy Genie+:
- The Cost – Disney Genie+ costs $20 per person, per day.
- How to Buy – There are two ways to purchase Disney Genie+. One is when you buy tickets, you’ll be able to add this on as a feature. The other is if you already have a ticket (or Magic Key annual pass), you’ll be able to add this on during your visit. Once you’re inside the park, open your Disneyland app, and purchase Disney Genie+ from there.
- Not All Rides Are Included – While Disneyland’s Genie+ is packed full of rides that use Lightning Lanes, not all of them are included in Disney Genie+. Click here for a full list of Disneyland Genie+ attractions.
- The 2-Hour Rule – You can only book one Lightning Lane reservation at a time. However, if your Lightning Lane reservation is more than two hours out, you’ll be able to book a second reservation after two hours has passed.
- Tips for Parents – Because Kids 3 and under do not need to purchase a park ticket, you won’t need to purchase Disney Genie+ for them. Instead, they are able to join your Lightning Lane reservation.
- Comes with Photos – One of the best parts about Disney Genie+ is the unlimited PhotoPass downloads. Any time you’re on a ride that snaps a photo or a Disney photographer takes picture of you around the Resort, you’ll be able to download that image! Simply, Genie+ unlocks the PhotoPass feature and removes the watermark from these images. All you have to do is type the image number into the PhotoPass portion of your Disneyland app.
