It’s back! The extremely popular FREE Disney Dining Plan returns for 2020. This fantastic deal includes free—yes, free—dining for guests who book at the Walt Disney World Resort on select nights. This means that you’ll receive two meals, two snacks, and unlimited soda refills at your resort for FREE each night you stay!
We love the free Disney Dining Plan deal! In the past, we’ve experimented with the saving and guests wanting to pinch pennies while enjoying the best food that Disney has to offer will want to jump on this one. Keep in mind that this deal is very popular and hotel rooms are limited (especially around the holidays).
To obtain this year’s free dining offer, guests will need to book a hotel and with caveats. First, guests must book a full-priced hotel and park hopper ticket package for each member of their traveling party. Second, travel dates must be booked by January 16, 2020, and within these travel arrival dates:
- June 27 – 28, 2020
- July 5 – 7, 2020
- August 29 – September 8, 2020
Third, you will receive either a free Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan (with 2 Quick-Service meals and 2 snacks per person, per day) or a Free Disney Dining Plan (1 Table Service meal, 1 Quick-Service meal, and 2 snacks, per person, per day). Here’s the breakdown:
Free Quick-Service Dining Plan
- Value Resorts: Art of Animation (Family Suites only), All-Star Music, All-Star Sports, Pop Century
- Moderate Resorts: Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans (Riverside or French Quarter), Cabins at Fort Wilderness
Free Disney Dining Plan
- Deluxe Resorts: Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club, BoardWalk Inn, Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, Yacht Club
- Deluxe Villa Resorts: Bay Lake Tower, Boulder Ridge, Copper Creek, Animal Kingdom Villas (Jambo and Kidani), Beach Club Villas, BoardWalk Villas, Old Key West, Polynesian Villas, Riviera, Saratoga Springs
The free Disney Dining Plan deal for 2020 is a little different than previous years for a few reasons. First, Disney traditionally offers this deal in the fall, but these are summer dates. Second, Disney provides “arrival” dates instead of date ranges for booking, which is also very interesting when it comes to planning. Third, Port Orleans and Bay Lake Tower are rarely part of discounted deals like this. Even the new Riviera Resort has free dining.
