A review of the Woody’s Lunch Box quick-service restaurants in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Walt Disney World Resort).
Woody’s Lunch Box reopens this week in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The premier dining spot in Toy Story Land offers snacks and lunchtime favorites for the entire family. However, many of these item are better for those who enjoy kid-friendly food like sandwiches, pastries, and tater tots.
Theming and Ambience
This outdoor eatery is designed to look like a metal lunchbox. Guests are kind of like ants scrambling to try the contents of this giant kid’s lunch box. All of the seating is outdoor beneath a canopy of toys and green army men. At night, the place glows with giant Christmas lights to create soft, colorful hues.
The Food
Overall, we rate Woody’s Lunch Box high! While the menu isn’t super adventurous, it is very unique for Disney World. The Daily Lunch Box Tarts are like gourmet pop tarts that are served all day. These flakey on the outside, gooey on the inside treats are hands down the best items served here. Flavors come in chocolate-hazelnut, raspberry, and lemon-blueberry. We recommend any of the three as each are delicious!
The BBQ Brisket Melt is served hot and is two crispy pieces of sourdough bread filled with shredded smoked brisket, tangy barbecue sauce, and melted cheese. We loved every bite of this gooey, delicious sandwich! We also highly recommend the Grilled Three-Cheese Sandwich with a side of tomato-basil soup for dipping!
For fans of tater tots, Woody’s Lunch Box sells “potato barrels” which are essentially the same thing. These barrels are wonderfully crispy and a little buttery. However, they don’t pack much flavor. If you’re a big fan of tots, you’ll want to try the “Totchos” that are topped with beef and bean chill with cheese and corn chips!
Entrees at Woody’s aren’t always filling for adults, but can work well for guests with small to medium appetites. Additionally, those wanting a plant-based entree, Woody’s sells a sandwich with imitation cheddar. There are also “Totchos” with plant-based chili and cheese.

The Frozen Mystic Portal Punch was a fantastic and refreshing treat. We thought that the drink might be a slushy, but it was instead served with a lot of ice. Overall, it tasted like berry sports drink with some added citrus flavors. To our liking, the taste was very light, and not overly sweet. We expect that kids would also enjoy this punch! Speaking of kids, there’s a turkey sandwich and a grilled cheese on the menu just for their size. However, many kids 10 and older may want the regular sized portion as its just a standard-sized sandwich.
Woody’s Lunch Box offers mobile ordering via the Walt Disney World app. We highly recommend using the app to skip the lines and get your food fast!
