When will the popular Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain roller coaster reopen at Disney’s Animal Kingdom?
In early January 2022, the Expedition Everest roller coaster closed for an extended refurbishment. The fan-favorite ride takes guests through a hauntingly beautiful mountain before facing off with an angry yeti. But when can guests expect to ride the attraction again?
Currently, Expedition Everest is scheduled to reopen in mid-April 2022. All attractions—especially roller coasters—need refurbishing from time to time. So, it’s no surprise that Disney has this one off the menu for several months. Thankfully, it should all return before summer crowds.

In addition, Disney likely won’t fix the infamously broken yeti. There are some rumors that projection effects might be added to animate the still creature.
