Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel at the Disneyland Resort is set to open just before the parks but when will it start booking?
The Disneyland Resort theme parks are set to reopen later this month on April 30th. With the parks, only one of the Disney-owned hotels will also open. The Grand Californian will start hosting guests on April 29th.
So when can future visitors begin booking their rooms? Disney’s Grand Californian will also start taking guest reservations on April 15th, sometime after 8am, on Disneyland.com. Many of the shops, dining experiences, and pools will be open for guests to enjoy. The Villas at the Grand California (Disney Vacation Club properties) open at a later date on May 2nd.
With that said, we expect Grand California rooms to be at the highest price point. Don’t expect discounts or reduced rates for at least two weeks. It also appears that those staying at the Grand Californian have access to a separate pool of theme park reservations. However, Disneyland does not guarantee that everyone staying at the Grand will get a reservation. Tickets are required on top of a hotel reservation to access this separate pool of slots.

Disneyland is expecting demand to be incredibly high for the parks. So much so that they cancelled annual passports to make room for standard guests while capacity remains low. Additionally, with only one Disney-owned hotel reopening, the Grand Californian could also quickly run out of rooms.
