Universal Studios Hollywood cannot be change its mask policy despite new guidelines set by California.
If you’re visiting Universal Studios Hollywood soon, don’t expect that its mask policy has changed. Though the State of California recently dropped indoor mask requirements for vaccinated guests, the LA theme park cannot do the same. Though California no longer requires the rule, individual counties still have their own guidelines. Los Angeles has not yet changed its mask and vaccination requirements, which are some of the strictest in the nation.
As of February 16, 2022, guests visiting Universal Studios Hollywood must wear a face covering both indoors and outdoors in the park, regardless of vaccination status. The only time a guest may remove their face covering is while eating in a stationary spot. Additionally, guests ages 5 and older must be either fully vaccinated or show proof of a negative covid test.
Guests can bring a photo of their negative PDC test taken within 48 hours or rapid antigen test (at-home) taken within 24 hours of their visit. You can also show a digital photo on your phone screen. Vaccinated guests may also do the same for their proof of status. Guests 18 and older should prepare to show proof of identification with a government issued photo ID.
