Walt Disney World’s theme park capacity has been increasing but what is it right now at places like the Magic Kingdom and Epcot?
Over the past several weeks, it’s appeared that Walt Disney World is making strides to return to normal. The theme park resort lifted its mask mandate in common outdoor areas. Plexiglass has come down in some of the attractions and more guests are being seated on rides. In addition, guest capacity is seemingly much higher than before.
So what does Disney World’s capacity look like now? Is it at 100%? It’s certainly not that high or we’d see much longer waits for the attractions. In addition, Disney’s CEO Bob Chapek recently shed some light on the capacity. From what he’s stated, it seems like park capacity will gradually increase over the summer.
It’s important to note that Chapek did not state what the exact capacity numbers were. At one point, it does seem that the Walt Disney World parks were at 40% and they are likely creeping that number up over the coming months. Specifically, Chapek stated that these would be “low double digit increases” for the parks over time.
