The Walt Disney World Resort has increased the price in 2020 for most of its annual passes.
The cost of a Walt Disney World annual pass has increased this week. All eight of the various pass options now see around 5% increases, depending on the pass.
Annual Passport Cost
Disney Platinum Plus Pass – $1,295 (previously $1,129)
Disney Platinum Pass – $1,195 (previously $1,119)
Disney Gold Pass (Disney Vacation Club and Florida Residents) – $719 (previously $699)
Disney Silver Pass (Florida Resistants) – $539 (previously $519)
Disney Theme Park Select Pass (FL Resistants) – $439 (previously $439)
Disney Weekday Select Pass (FL Resistants) – $369 (previously $349)
EPCOT After 4 Pass (FL Resistants) – $319 (previously $304)
Disney Premier (both Disneyland and Disney World) – $2,199 (previously $2099)
Disney Vacation Club Members and Florida residents continue to have the Disney Gold Pass as an option. This pass allows access to all four theme park except for spring break and holiday.
Some of the Florida Resident rates did not increase. The Platinum Pass, Platinum Plus, and Theme Park Select Pass all stayed the same for locals. Disney Vacation Club Members also enjoy this same discount. Furthermore, the Disney Water Parks passes remain unchanged. The Water Parks Annual Pass stays at $139 and the “After 2” pass is $89. These annual passes are only available for Florida Residents.
It appears that Disney World is still trying to compete Universal Orlando’s pass. However, Universal offers Florida Resident APs starting at $368.99. However, Walt Disney World offers access to four theme parks, which Universal offers two theme parks and one water park.
Since the launch of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Walt Disney World has seen a spike in attendance at its Hollywood Studios park. If this trend continues, we expect to see another increase in the Fall.
