The Universal Orlando Resort theme parks reopened to the public today with virtual lines for many of its top attractions.
Universal’s Virtual Line Pass is free with admission and accessible through the Universal Orlando mobile app. Guests can reserve their ride times from their phone after they’ve entered one of the parks. Once called, guests simply head to the attraction entrance to ride.
A List of Attractions Using Universal’s Virtual Line Pass:
- Fast & Furious – Supercharged (Universal Studios Florida)
- Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure (Universal’s Islands of Adventure)
- Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts (Universal Studios Florida)
- Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey (Universal’s Islands of Adventure)
- Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon (Universal Studios Florida)
- Revenge of the Mummy (Universal Studios Florida)
- Skull Island: Reign of Kong (Universal’s Islands of Adventure)
Overall, the theme parks didn’t seem very crowded today. To maintain social distancing, marks and directional patterns have been placed around the three theme parks. Unlike Walt Disney World, Universal isn’t doing a reservation system for its guests. As it appears, demand isn’t high enough for Universal to need this system.
Nevertheless, Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and Universal’s Volcano Bay are only allowing for 20-30% park capacity for the time being.
