What to do if your Walt Disney World Resort tickets or reservation won’t link to your account after typing in the ID Number.
You’re in the middle planning your Walt Disney World vacation. The hotel room is booked. The tickets are purchased. You’ve even set an alarm for your FastPass+ or dining reservation date. Just as you go to link a ticket or reservation to your account, you get this error:
“This reservation is already linked or cannot be claimed online by the confirmation number. If you have the individual ticket(s), please link to your account using the ticket ID. If you feel you have received this message in error, please try again or call (407) 939-4357 for assistance. Guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call.”
Yes, you can always call the number, but what if the wait times are long? And you’re in a hurry! So, what do you do? First of all, even the most advanced users run into these errors. Disney’s system can sometimes seem straight forward, but in reality, it’s not. So don’t stress because we have a solution!
This is how you fix “this reservation is already linked” issue:
- If you have an ID Number, it was likely purchased from another Disney account. So, you’ll need to link that account to yours.
- To link an account, use a web browser (not the WDW app) and click “My Disney Experience”
- On that page, you’ll see your account and other guests
- Find the guest you wish to link…
- Then click “update” near their name
- Click “Share Planning with…”
- Enter the e-mail associated with the account that purchased the ticket (you may need to ask the person you’re linking)
- Click “Continue”
- If you don’t see the guest listed…
- Click “Add a Guest”
- Then, select an option, and fill in the information. After that, you may need to complete step 4.
- The guest will need to accept your invitation via e-mail. Once they do, their ticket will be linked to your account!
- If this doesn’t work for you, then call the number in the error message for help.
