Our favorite gift in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is totally free – well, sort of! These can be found in Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World.
There are a ton of gift choices to discover around Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The Marketplace is filled with clothes, toys, and trinkets you can’t find anywhere else in the galaxy. But, interestingly enough, our favorite gift is actually free.
Well, sort of free.
The Batuuan Spira Credit Medallion is the official currency of Black Spire Outpost. Of course, shops take all other forms of currency like credit cards and cash. However, this beautiful metal coin is really just a gift card! Meaning, when you’re done with it, you can have it as a keepsake.
Okay, so now to the part about it only kinda sorta being free… well, to get one of this bad boys, you need to charge $100. But that’s it! You don’t have to pay extra for the metal gift card, you just need to load at least $100. Also, they are rechargable!
We love the Batuuan Spira as a gift idea because everyone visiting Disney could use the cash. We will warn you that these coins are kind of heavy and don’t easily fit into wallets. However, they are big enough to carry around.
Where to Find the Batuuan Spira Credit Medallion
The Spira used to be located in the Droid Depot at Disneyland, but they aren’t there any longer. Now you can find them at the kiosks on the Resistance side. In fact, these kiosks are pretty close Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. At times these popular coins sell out, so be sure to grab one early on if possible.
Furthermore, if you want to gift someone a custom droid, lightsaber build at Savi’s Workshop, or even just a day at the parks, the Spira is the perfect choice! Just load the amount you need on the coin and send it with a card.
Are they now located at the kiosks at Disneyland or Disney World? We visited the Droid Depot yesterday Feb 16th at Disney World and they no longer had the medallion. If it’s at Disney World, I might have to try the kiosks again today!
The spira have bounced around since opening, but they should be available at the kiosks near Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance or at the Droid Depot at Disney World. Be sure to ask as Cast Member if you can’t find them. They do, however, sell out during busy times. Hope that helps!
