Disneyland After Dark presents Star Wars Nite during the Star Wars Celebration!
This summer, Star Wars fans will flock to the Anaheim Convention Center for the Star Wars Celebration. This huge event is like Comic-Con, but just for Star Wars! From August 27-29, booths, entertainment, and panels keep guests entertained as they immerse themselves in Star Wars fandom.
The Disneyland event takes place on one night only, Thursday, August 27, 2020, after park hours. The event will include experiences around Disneyland park, including the attractions in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Special food, merchandise, decorations, and entertainment will also be spread around the park.
So, what should you expect from Star Wars Nite? Like most Disneyland After Dark Nites, we expect very low crowds which means shorter wait times for rides like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. We also expect rare characters like Ewoks to make appearances. Special food will go beyond Blue Milk to deliver Star Wars treats like never before! We also anticipate that the event will run from 9AM – 1AM with early park access beginning at 6PM. However, Disneyland has not confirmed these hours yet.
We love this chosen date for Star Wars Nite! Disneyland likes to throw its After Dark parties during the off season, which is typically January through March. While the end of August is also considered off season, it’ll be refreshing for some warmer weather at night!
Tickets are not currently on sale and no further details have been announced. Although, we expect tickets to range from $109-$119. Guests may also dress up in full costume for the evening, as long as they follow Disneyland’s costume guidelines.
Disneyland ran its first two Star Wars Nites in 2018. The first event sold out, however, the second date did not. Although, it likely wasn’t due to lack of popularity, but instead the short notice as the Nite was announced just a week before. The 2020 Disneyland After Dark Events haven’t been as popular as they were in previous years. Disneyland appears to have hoped for word of mouth rather than traditional advertising. We anticipate that the Star Wars Celebration convention will lead to this event selling out.
