One of Disneyland’s original attractions is getting a lot of extra magic! Snow White’s Scary Adventures, which debuted with the park in 1955, will undergo major refurbishment in 2020. Disney promises that the update will include “enhanced story details and all-new scenes.”
Best of all, the attraction will finally receive a proper ending. As of now, the ride ends anticlimactically with the witch attempting to crush the seven dwarfs. And just when you think things will get better—nadda! The witch just screams and there’s a happily ever after sign. Luckily, this iconic attraction will finally give us the magic we’ve been waiting for.
Snow White’s Scary Adventures will run through the holiday season. Its final showing will be on January 6, 2020. We don’t know how long the closure will be, but it could be a while. Disney is also reworking the outside of the attraction to match Sleeping Beauty Castle.
This rework is part of Disneyland’s effort to stay fresh and authentically “Disney.” We also see it as a major step toward the park’s 65th anniversary in July of 2020. We’re not sure how big the celebration will be, but we expect Snow White to reopen by then.
