A review of the Simba Sunset and King’s Cooler DOLE Whip floats found at Tamu Tamu Refreshments in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
We loved every bite of the colorful Simba Sunset. It’s pineapple DOLE Whip drizzled with watermelon, strawberry, and coconut syrup! While it’s basically a DOLE Whip float with some added syrup, the fruity flavors came together wonderfully.
Where: Tamu Tamu Refreshments (Africa in Disney’s Animal Kingdom)
Price: $5.99 / 1 Snack Credit
The King’s Cooler is the same recipe, but comes with a choice of Plantation Dark Rum or Parrot Bay Coconut Rum. We recommend the coconut rum because it blends well with the DOLE Whip. Unfortunately, since it’s an alcoholic beverage, it’s not eligible for a snack credit.

Originally planned as limited-time treats, these two Lion King-themed menu items have stuck around. We love that Disney is always coming up with new ways to try their famous DOLE Whips. Of course, you can still get the original version at Tamu Tamu Refreshments for just $4.99, or $5.99 for the float (with added pineapple juice).
